Italian Courses

The Language center (CLA) organises Italian language courses.
The courses cover levels Pre-A1 to C1 of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and are aimed at all foreign students at the University of Padova (eg: students on mobility exchange programmes, visiting professors, international students).

 

 

 

Italian courses types and structures

 

Intensive communicative Italian courses:

    • Recipients: international students enrolled at the University of Padova; professors, researchers and PhD students (also visiting);  Erasmus Mundus and KA171 participants; European Voluntary Service (SVE) volunteers at the University of Padova.
    • Develop mainly oral skills.
    • Offered at three different levels.
    • Proposed each academic year in September and February.
    • 25 hours of intensive classes, organised within 2 weeks.
    • Registrations open in July and January.




Biannual Italian courses:

    • Recipients: Erasmus+ mobility students; international students enrolled at the University of Padova; professors, researchers and PhD students (also visiting);  Erasmus Mundus and KA171 participants; European Voluntary Service (SVE) volunteers at the University of Padova.
    • Develop all language skills.
    • Offered for all CEFR levels from PreA1 to C1.
    • 3 ECTS credits only for Erasmus+ and Bilateral Agreement students who pass the final test.
    • One session proposed for each semester.
    • 40 hours of classes and 10 of self-study, organised throughout the semester.
    • 2 meetings of 2 hours each per week.
    • Registrations open in September and February.




Italian language course for Medicine and Surgery:

    • Recipients: international students of Medicine and Surgery and other medicine courses students and interns.
    • Develop all language skills at a B1 level.
    • Only for students whose study plan includes course unit MEP9086039.
    • Aimed at students who already have an A2 level of Italian.
    • One session proposed in the second semester.
    • 30 hours of classes, organised within 4-5 weeks.
    • Registrations open in January-February.




Preparation courses to the A2 Italian Language Ability Test:

    • Recipients: international students whose Master’s study plan includes TAL A2 of Italian.
    • Develop reading and listening skills at A2 level.
    • Only for students whose study plan includes course unit INQ0093091 or SUQ0093178.
    • Aimed at students who already have an A1 level of Italian.
    • Available online for self-learning.
