{"id":10233,"date":"2025-08-06T13:19:30","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T13:19:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cla.unipd.it\/en\/?page_id=10233"},"modified":"2025-12-15T14:34:27","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T14:34:27","slug":"university-in-prison-project","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cla.unipd.it\/en\/about-us\/projects\/university-in-prison-project\/","title":{"rendered":"University in Prison project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Language Ability Tests (TAL)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cla.unipd.it\/centro\/progetti\/universita-in-carcere\/\">Versione in italiano<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:25% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"830\" height=\"664\" src=\"https:\/\/cla.unipd.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/file-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10239 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cla.unipd.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/file-1.webp 830w, https:\/\/cla.unipd.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/file-1-300x240.webp 300w, https:\/\/cla.unipd.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/file-1-768x614.webp 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 830px) 100vw, 830px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>The Language Centre assesses and evaluates the language and communication skills of some students of the University Campus of a section of the Padua Correctional Facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project was developed in collaboration with our University&#8217;s Student Services Office.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The CLA offers the following tests to students detained at Padua prison:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>TAL <\/strong>(Language Ability Test) level <strong>B1 <\/strong>for <strong>reading and listening<\/strong> skills in <strong>English, French, German and Spanish<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>TAL <\/strong>(Language Ability Test) level <strong>B2 <\/strong>for <strong>reading, listening and speaking<\/strong> skills in <strong>English<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_95265528369d1341cd24fb\"><strong>Tests structure<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tests consist of the following parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>written comprehension<\/strong> test lasting a total of 30 minutes: the test is paper-based and a minimum score of 12\/20 is required to pass;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>speaking test<\/strong> lasting a total of 10 minutes, in the presence of two examiners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_199228049669d1341cd2514\"><strong>Mock tests<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/elearning.unipd.it\/cla\/course\/view.php?id=1206\">Mock tests <\/a><\/strong>are available for both the <strong>written comprehension<\/strong> and <strong>speaking tests<\/strong>.
