The Language Center organizes Face-to-Face Tandem sessions, which enable participants to meet in person.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-default-color has-custom-color-3-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-39dc07ee231deaba0c7337d46fe77e19\"><strong>Enrollment for the 2nd semester of the 2025\/26 a. y. is open until May 15, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_58783637669df3885a7c81\"><strong>Why participate<em>?<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because it is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Useful:<\/strong> it&#8217;s an opportunity to improve oral communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accessible: <\/strong>anyone with a formal relationship with the University of Padua can participate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Instructive:<\/strong> it&#8217;s a means to better understand a different culture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enjoyable:<\/strong> you learn while having fun and meet new people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flexible:<\/strong> meetings are scheduled with complete autonomy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_160697813069df3885a7c9e\"><strong>Who can participate<em>?<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following can register for the Face2Face Tandem project:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students of the University of Padua<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foreign exchange students at our University under any agreement (e.g., Erasmus+, Mundus, Boston University\u2019s Padua Programme, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volunteers of the Universal and Regional Civil Service and European Civil Service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Those with a formal relationship with the University of Padua or with Padua Hospital Trust (administrative and technical staff, research fellows, doctoral, master&#8217;s, specialization students, and faculty)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_47151376269df3885a7caa\"><strong>When, where and how the meetings take place?<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meetings take place in total <strong><span style=\"color: #fffffe;background-color: #67000e\" class=\"stk-highlight\">autonomy<\/span><\/strong>: the participants decide when, how often and where to meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>When:<\/strong> We recommend meeting at least once a week.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Where:<\/strong> Tandem partners can decide together when to meet, and wherever they want&nbsp; (in a park, canteen, bar, square, library, etc.). Upon request, the CLA provides participants with a small classroom which must be booked <strong>by 12:00 noon on the day before the requested date by sending an email to <a href=\"mailto:autoapprendimento.cla@unipd.it\">autoapprendimento.cla@unipd.it<\/a> and to <a href=\"mailto:orari.cla@unipd.it\">orari.cla@unipd.it<\/a><\/strong>, indicating the name and surname of the participants, the requested time and date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The partners can also decide to have some remote meetings (Zoom, Skype, etc.) by mutual agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important note<\/strong>: during the meetings it is important that <strong>the time be distributed equally between the two languages.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_126717164469df3885a7cb4\"><strong>Registration<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To register, it is necessary to sign up on the dedicated platform. After registration, users will receive an automatic email with instructions on how to complete the registration process and must fill in all the necessary data to be matched with a Tandem partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once matched by the system, users will receive a notification via email of the successful pairing. They can then independently get in touch with one another and plan meetings. It may take several weeks for the matching process to occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not always possible to guarantee a Tandem partner to everyone who requests one: it depends on the number of students participating in the initiative. Should I fill in the diary each time I meet my partner?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compiling the diary is not mandatory, but is necessary to obtain the certificate of participation (at least for 8 meetings). The diary can be downloaded in the appropriate space within the platform and must be completed and submitted by the end of the semester.
