{"id":8687,"date":"2024-08-30T10:07:32","date_gmt":"2024-08-30T10:07:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:9080\/en\/?p=8687"},"modified":"2025-07-23T11:05:35","modified_gmt":"2025-07-23T11:05:35","slug":"where-and-how-do-the-tests-take-place","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cla.unipd.it\/en\/where-and-how-do-the-tests-take-place\/","title":{"rendered":"Where and how do the tests take place?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_200462969269d5082e54b37\"><strong>Where do the tests take place?<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The TAL tests take place in the CLA Language Laboratories in Via Venezia 16, Building n.4 in Padova.\u00a0 On the day of the test you will need to arrive 15 minutes before the start to allow for the roll call and identification procedures to be carried out correctly. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you arrive late, you may lose the right to take the test.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_88497867869d5082e54b64\"><strong>Is it possible to do the test remotely or from home?<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No. All TAL tests take place in-person at the University Language Centre.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_108260866769d5082e54b7a\"><strong>How long does this test last?<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It depends on which test you choose:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A2 reading and listening lasts 40 minutes.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B1 reading and listening lasts 70 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B2 reading and listening lasts 90 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B2 reading and listening for Psychology lasts 120 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C1 reading and listening lasts 70 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B1 writing lasts 60 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B2 writing lasts 60 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B1 speaking lasts 18 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B2 speaking lasts 25 minutes; for Primary Education it lasts 30 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_183962134169d5082e54b8e\"><strong>What should I bring with me into the laboratory on the day of the test?<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The day of the test you have to bring with you:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-checked=\"false\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a valid personal identity document with a photo on it;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-checked=\"false\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">your mobile phone (it could be useful if you forget the password of your institutional account), but you will be asked to switch it off before the test starts.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is forbidden to bring any other electronic devices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_128364363369d5082e54b95\"><strong>When will my identity be checked?<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before entering the laboratory, your student identity document will be checked by invigilators.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_44496714569d5082e54b9c\"><strong>What happens if I need help during the test?<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If during the test you have questions or need help, raise your hand and ask for support from one of the invigilators. Do not disturb the other candidates.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will not be allowed to go to the bathroom, unless it is urgent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n\n                <p class=\"trigger \">\n                    <a href=\"#toggle_163087042369d5082e54ba2\"><strong>What happens at the end of the test?<\/strong><\/a>\n                <\/p>\n                <div class=\"toggle_container\" style=\"display:none;\">\n                    <div class=\"block\">\n                        <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you have finished your test click on the \u201cTermina tutto e invia\u201d (Complete &amp; Send) button to deliver your test.
