Versione in Italiano
The University Language Centre organizes free semester-long basic language courses in French, English, Portuguese, Spanish, German and Russian.
Courses are mainly held in-person (classroom or lab) at the CLA.
At the end of the course, students who have attended at least 70% of the sessions will be eligible for a certificate of attendance.
The certificate will be available within 15 days of completing the course.
Participants will NOT obtain a language level certificate at the end of the course. These are extracurricular courses and do not give credits.
Courses recipients
The courses are aimed mainly at students at the University who do not have access to language courses through their own degree course.
Length
The total duration of the course is 30 academic hours, spread over 7-8 weeks – 2 sessions per week of 2 academic hours each (= 1 ½ hours in person).
Levels
The courses are all a “basic” level and aim to get students started with a language or help them to further their knowledge of the basic structure of the language.
Levels from complete beginner (no previous knowledge of the language) to lower intermediate level (A2/B1) can therefore be activated. In any case, courses never exceed level B1.
It is necessary to check the information relating to each individual language to verify the levels activated. As for English, only A2 or A2/B1 level courses are activated (not complete beginner level).
