About us

The University Language Centre (CLA) was set up in 1997 to support members of the university with their language learning needs. Language Centre staff are highly qualified and have years of experience with technology assisted language learning and the creation and use of interactive courses and resource materials.

The CLA’s main objective is to encourage and support autonomous learning, where learners take an active role in acquiring both language skills and knowledge: our courses aim to develop students’ abilities to experiment, self-assess and also work with others while establishing and reaching their own personal learning goals.

The CLA is also an active member of national and international associations dealing with language teaching and learning.
