ITAL2aCLAPD Project

Versione in italiano

The three-year ITAL2aCLAPD project was launched in the 2023/24 academic year to proactively respond to the needs of the international community of the University of Padua. In recent years, the number of international degree seekers has increased exponentially, and the Language Centre has consequently aimed to adapt its Italian as a second language (L2) programme to respond to the new specific needs that have arisen.

The main goals of the project include:

  • Increasing the communicative aspect of Italian language courses;
  • Expanding the range of Italian language courses available to degree seekers, including through the provision of online self-study courses that students can use even before arriving in Italy;
  • Expanding the range of courses to include paid courses for students who wish to further develop their Italian language skills;
  • Updating the offer for exchange students, modifying and diversifying the types of free courses available to them;
  • Developing the software for managing Italian courses in order to enable effective management of the large numbers of students involved in the activities;
  • Implementing Italian language proficiency tests (TAL).
