The University Language Centre organizes semester-long basic language courses in French, English, Spanish, German and Russian.
The courses are free and last 30 academic hours.
Registration for 1st semester basic English course is open until October 31st.
General information
The courses are aimed mainly at students at the University who
do not have access to language courses through their own degree course (e.g. students of
Lingue or
Scienze Politiche will not be given priority).
Courses are mainly held in-person (classroom or lab) at CLA. These are
extracurricular courses and do not give credits.
At the end of the course, students who have attended at least 70% of the classes will be eligible for a certificate of attendance.
Participants will NOT obtain a language level certificate at the end of the course.
Length and level
The total duration of the course is
30 academic hours, spread over 7-8 weeks – 2 sessions per week of 2 academic hours each (= 1 ½ hours in person).
The courses are all a “basic” level and aim to get students started with a language or help them to further their knowledge of the basic structure of the language. Courses from complete beginner (no previous knowledge of the language) up to lower intermediate level (A2/B1) may be set up depending on the language in question.
