CALL 2025/26 Registration for intensive language courses is now open. Deadline to register: May 15.
The University Language Centre organizes and offers 30-hour intensive courses for Erasmus+ grant winners for those who wish to learn/improve the language of the destination country. The courses are also open to students (already winners) participating in other types of exchange agreements (including double degrees).
Participation is free of charge and offered only to winners of Erasmus+ mobility – or other type of exchange and/or double degree agreement (in these cases consistent with the dates and deadlines already foreseen for courses intended for Erasmus out winners). Each student may participate in one course (subject to exceptions, see “general information” section).
Courses periods: usually in the late spring/summer period: from the end of May to 30 September (excluding August).
Languages: English, French, Portuguese*, Spanish, German.
Certificates: at the end of the course students who have attended at least 70% of the lessons receive a certificate of attendance, NOT stating their proficiency level.
Tests and level certificates: students who need a level certificate to submit to the destination university must take the TAL in one of the sessions available for Erasmus out winners. The level tests and language courses are two separate and independent activities.
Registration
From April 30 to May 15: fill out the Registration form and complete the registration steps within the Moodle platform, using the link indicated for each language in the table below. Filling out the form by the indicated deadline (May 15) is mandatory in order to access the courses in all proposed periods. The choice of the specific course can be made at a later date
From May 26 to June 10, an additional enrollment window will be open for winners of the second call for applications.
Online placement test – The possibility to register for courses is subject to an online placement test. Only absolute beginners are exempt from taking the test. The test is available within the link provided for each language and will be visible after completing the registration form.
Even though the registration deadline has passed, it may still be possible to enroll, subject to course availability and remaining spots. Please note that some courses might have already taken place and are no longer available

Self-study
Online activities for English, French and Portuguese are available for students who wish to practice autonomously.
Registration: from 4 to 19 May (extended to 10 June).
Fill out the pre-registration form and complete the registration steps within the Moodle platform. Filling out the form is mandatory.
Online placement test: from 4 to 19 May (extended to 10 June).
The possibility of enrolling in the courses is subject to an online placement test. Only absolute beginners are exempt from taking the test (but they must still fill out the pre-registration form and complete the procedure by May 19th). *Only for Portuguese there is no online placement test, given that the level of most students is usually beginners.
Courses structure: The total duration of the course is 30 academic hours, spread over 3-5 weeks.
Courses levels and timetables: from 20 May.
Details relating to the number of courses, levels, times and delivery methods divided by language will be published within the Moodle space.

PORTUGUESE
- There is no online placement test since usually the level of most students is beginner
- It is planned possibly to activate a course at a level higher than beginner if there are enough requests (at least 10), to be indicated in the registration form.
- Only for Portuguese, the certificate of attendance issued at the end of the course will also contain an indication of the level achieved by the individual student and can serve as a level certificate to be presented at the destination institution. The level will be assessed with a small profit test scheduled at the end of the course.
