The IELTS preparation courses are intended for:

• students and employees of the University of Padova (professors and technical-administrative staff). They are also addressed to all those who, for various reasons, have a formalised relationship with the University of Padua (collaborators, scholarship holders, postgraduate students, master students, contract lecturers, etc.);
• users outside the University of Padova.

A maximum of 20 students are admitted per course.

Registration fee:

• for Unipd users: €202
• for external users: €302

The fee includes the revenue stamp of €2,00 but does not include the textbook.
The fee is non-refundable except for exceptional and serious reasons to be evaluated at the discretion of CLA Management. In this case an email must be sent stating the reasons.

N.B. The course fee does NOT include the exam registration fee which must be paid through the British Council portal at the time of finalising the exam registration.

The selection of participants is carried out through a mandatory admission test to be taken online within the Moodle platform, from any PC location equipped with headphones/audio. The test is mandatory even for candidates who already have an English level certification. Access to the test will be possible after registering within Moodle.

The admission test consists of three parts:

1. a reading, listening and grammar test (max. 30 minutes),
2. a written production test (max. 40 minutes). Only those who pass the first part of the test will be able to take the second part,
3. an oral production test (max. 5 minutes), which is not considered for the admission to the course but is taken into account to comprehensively assess the level of the class.

The test can only be attempted once. The maximum total duration of the test is approximately one and a half hours. You may take the three tests at different times, but in any case before the closing date for registration.

A maximum of 20 students are admitted per course (the first 20 successful candidates in the admission test).

Based on the results of the admission test, a list of those admitted to the course will be published. Should there be more than 20 eligible applicants, a waiting list will be created on the basis of chronological order of enrolment. Due to the limited number of places, no more than 50 pre-registrations will be accepted for each starting course.

Please do not proceed with registration if you are not sure you will be able to attend at the times indicated.

N.B. The course is only activated if a minimum number of 18 eligible participants is reached.
