Where do the tests take place?
The TAL tests take place in the CLA Language Laboratories in Via Venezia 16, Building n.4 in Padova. On the day of the test you will need to arrive 15 minutes before the start to allow for the roll call and identification procedures to be carried out correctly. If you arrive late, you may lose the right to take the test.
Is it possible to do the test remotely or from home?
No. All TAL tests take place in-person at the University Language Centre.
How long does this test last?
It depends on which test you choose:
- A2 reading and listening lasts 40 minutes.
- B1 reading and listening lasts 70 minutes.
- B2 reading and listening lasts 90 minutes.
- B2 reading and listening for Psychology lasts 120 minutes.
- C1 reading and listening lasts 70 minutes.
- B1 writing lasts 60 minutes.
- B2 writing lasts 60 minutes.
- B1 speaking lasts 18 minutes.
- B2 speaking lasts 25 minutes; for Primary Education it lasts 30 minutes.
What should I bring with me into the laboratory on the day of the test?
The day of the test you have to bring with you:
- a valid personal identity document with a photo on it;
- your mobile phone (it could be useful if you forget the password of your institutional account), but you will be asked to switch it off before the test starts.
It is forbidden to bring any other electronic devices.
When will my identity be checked?
Before entering the laboratory, your student identity document will be checked by invigilators.
What happens if I need help during the test?
If during the test you have questions or need help, raise your hand and ask for support from one of the invigilators. Do not disturb the other candidates.
You will not be allowed to go to the bathroom, unless it is urgent.
What happens at the end of the test?
When you have finished your test click on the “Termina tutto e invia” (Complete & Send) button to deliver your test. Then log out from Moodle (top right).
If you think that some problems occurring during the test might have negatively influenced your score, please report it immediately to one of the invigilators.
If you work and need a declaration for your employer, ask for it from one of the invigilators in the laboratory.
